Anyone use a traditional Casting reel for ice fishing? Comment below if you do. I’ve been debating building a heavier setup with a baitcaster reel because I think it offers some interesting benefits. No line twist is an obvious one, but I also like the ability to control the speed of the lure drop as well as the ability to adjust depth with one hand. Maybe running this setup with a heavy jigging rap could add another interesting layer to the presentation?
